i swear i read something about feeding your dog garlic and it repels flees and ticks. is this true?
if so i would like to try it. i have a bag full of unchoped garlic already, i just dont know how much or how often to feed it to my 4 dogs, 2 adults and 2, 8 week old puppies
It is a myth, but it may repel vampires,LOL.

Hi there,
I have westies, and practice this method as well as flea treatment.
I put small amounts of garlic in their food and I also give garlic caplets everyday if I remember.

It not a myth, I feed my dogs a garlic capsual everyday and have never seen a flea on any of them, I am also a dog groomer and reccommened that my clients do it, it really does work!

I asked my vet about this. He said that it was a myth. I asked if garlic was good for anything, and he basically said no. However, I can't believe that it does no good at all, when it is supposed to be good for humans? I still give Dylan a garlic tablet every other day or so.

:D Admin. No, he didn't try to sell me anything.

My vet thinks it's nonsense as well, but says if it makes me happy, it at least won't do any harm.
