I am looking to try to possibly stud my dig - how do i go about advertising him - he is a lhasa apso from a very good line - he is ready to mate and would like him to stud.

Sorry but know one is going to use your dog unless you start to show it so that people can see him if he is any good and i mean standard wise then you might get one or two people asking to use him, but other wise i would for get it we all think our dogs are the best (or we should do) but it isnt always the case they are wonderful pets but not for breeding/stud work and lots of people dont like to be told this, it doesnt matter if you have paid alot of money for your pup if it turns out to be a pet and not a winning show dog nothing you can do about it except love it for what it is your family dog. jackie

You don’t, you could try contacting your dogs breeder who may help, or join and become involved in the breed club could also help. But the best way is to show your dog and be seen by those who may wish to use a stud dog

As a matter of interest, if you don’t know how, why do you want to get involved in such a process?
