Well put it like this if you were fed fillet steak for a few days would you want to go back to spam..

Get one good food stock to it, changing food is what causes the problems.

He will soon eat it, he won't starve to death..

Dogs are not like humans that need a " change" of taste.

Rod for your own back I am afraid.

yes i know exactly what you are going thru!
i have 2 shih-tzu's who WERE extremely fussy, just like your dog. My cupboards were full of different (high quality) foods that they would turn their nose up to.
Then one day i had enough i put down what i wanted them to eat and that was that, they held out for a while but then they eventually realised they wer'nt going to get anything else and they ate it!
i so very much DISAGREE with the previous post regarding dogs dont need change,it breaks my heart too see dogs who have been fed the same thing day in day out for years, how bored must these poor dogs be???????
i never feed the same thing 2days in a row, sometimes they get wet food with a bit of dry,i also cook for them quite a bit, like i said previously they know if they dont eat they wont get anything else.
You guys in Britain get so much more variety than us(i live in Australia) there has got to be one thing your dog likes?

please keep us updated on your progress.
take care,

Christine :)

We were advised by our vet to avoid variety in diet as well, then our dog was neutered and the vet nurse tore up about him being seriously underweight, suggesting we cook chicken, eggs etc as he didn't like (she said) the working dog food we were giving him. I think she didn't recognise the brand. We use the same brand all the time now but add soemthing tasty to it - tuna in oil, chicken, a tiny bit of liver or gravy ( no bisto for the salt)I think he will be a picky eater all his days, but he gets enough exercise tobe hungry at night and he has a limited time to eat so he values his food. can your dogs get food out of a ball or a kong - ours enjoys fiddling bits out of it - that's what he does with his complete food - eats the meaty bits and leaves the veg/tooth cleaning bits just like the kids!

Have you tried Arden Grange - most fussier dogs love it and its very high quality. type " Arden Grange+dog food" into the search box on www.google.co.uk and you will find the ordering info.
