At what age are boxer puppies able to be taken away (sold) from their mother? Can you tell from a young age what size / stature a puppy will grow into? Are boxer's easy to obedience train? How much exercise will an adult boxer need?

Thank you.

hi, first of all no puppy should be taken from its mother before 8 weeks of age. boxers are very intelligent dogs, however they do get bored easily.training sessions should be kept to a short period of time and be as non-repetative as possible. you can usually tell how big your boxer will grow by looking at the parents. females are around 21-23 inches tall and males 22-25 inches when adult.
exercise as puppies should be kept light, excessive free running is detrimental to developing joints and bones. a 15 minute lead walk twice daily combined with some free time in your own garden is ample exercise for a growing puppy. an adult boxer will love as much exercise as you can handle!
