Hi can anybody help me? I purchased a boxer dog in January 2001, I saw the puppy with its mother and saw her pedigree certificates. I was told they had to register a change of address for the mother before they could register the pups, and that they would forward the paperwork on. I haven't received the paperwork and the couple i bought the dog from have moved and i cannot trace them. Can anybody tell me if i can register my dog myself or give me advise on what i should do now!

Only a breeder can register the pup with the Kennel Club. If they have registered them the K C may give you a contact for them, if you explain what happened, but I would not hold out too much hope.

Sorry guest, also a 'fib' about delay for having to register a change of address for the Mum too, so doesn't sound too hopeful :(

you can't do that because some people could be innocent . If you could see physical evidence then thats a different situation. there was a post on here not so long ago about a breeder who was being slated by another breeder to perspective buyers of her litter. Wrongfully may i add. This caused the poor lady nothing but heart ache and an excellent reputation to build up again.
I believe the buyers should be more educated so there is no market for those scrupulous (spell check) people.

If you have the KC registered names of both the parents then
the Kennel Club *may* be able to advise if your pup was registered
with them and they *may* send out a letter to the breeders
but this would probably only be sent to the last address that the KC
hold on file for them.
If you know the breeders name and affix then it may help to trace the
breeders.
I know that if the mother of the pups wasn't registered in their name
then they can't register the pups as bred by them etc.
You can't register the dog yourself unless it's just to the working list
if you are competing at agility and obedience competitions.

boxacrazy are you going on the 7th sept in derby to everything boxer. Its on my 30th birthday so i thought it would keep me out of the pubs until the evening. Then i could talk to other boxer owners to get some tips on Mr B

For my sins :D Yes I very much hope so...although the further north it
keeps going the harder it gets.....
I donated the salver for the Runner up in the Boxer Racing as my oldie
now sadly departed was Runner-up in 2000 aged 9 yrs old.
She was the fastest racing veteran Boxer in the UK :D and I wanted
to celebrate this with a happy reminder of the event. (It's called Trumist Trudi salver)
It's a great day out, lots of Boxers and 'honorary' Boxers go.
Sure you'll have lots of fun
:D
Kind Regards
