Help! can anyone help me, my 2 yr old bitch is digging holes in the lawn when i am not home,plenty of toys left and dog flap access to the garden and other dog for company. she is not left many hours and shows no anxiety in other ways. any suggestions much appreciated thanks willow.

Dogs dig because it's fun, whether or not they are bored or alone. You can either concrete over your lawn, or, provide a special area for her to dig. A special area could be a sandpit where you bury toys for her to find. Teach her to dig and find treats in her special area - and hope that she starts to confine her digging to that one spot.

I have a dog flap outside as well, but it does not allow my dog access to the entire garden. You could fence off a small area immediately outside the dog flap and thereby confine her digging. If she uses it a lot for peeing you might want to pave the area or put down a layer of pea gravel. If she is not left along for long this should not be a problem - give her access to the entire garden when you can supervise.
