hello everyone
can anyone give me some advice i am worried sick we have a newfoundland boy aged 9 months, from being a pup his testicles were going up and down all the time however by the time he was 4 months they both seem to settle and i never thought about it again until we were at a champ show,we were awarded res out of 4..and the judge asked me to wait behind as he wanted a very quick word, after the others in class had left and the next class coming in he told me my boy had only one testicle, however if 2 had have been there he would have gone to first place..gutted as i was i went to the vet for his opinion and he just said nuter,of corse i know about the cancerous situation but the vet seem to find it all rather amusing and told me if i wanted to carry on showing him i could always but a bobble around them..not funny i am devastated at the thought of not being able to show him,ive tried vit e its right there but not quite in there
the good one he has is find the other seems to want to appear but keeps sringing back in again,i have tried massage but its gone again in seconds and i am sure he's not very happy with me for fiddling with his bits
please HELP!
THANKS anne

If they have both been (down) then they have both passed through the narrow area in the pelvis where the trouble often occurs. Which means that the tectical could be broughts down into the correct place, I would ask for a referal to another vet and keep going until you find a sensible one who will help.
At his age it is possible that there is still time for it to appear and stay in it's correct place, but if you want to make sure seek advice.
