My 6 month old bedlington bitch puppy has staining (brownish) around her chin and also her nether region. Any suggestions of how to get it back to white would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Linda

Hi, this is a common problem with Bedlingtons, my own gets it too, you can try talc (unscented or baby talc) and work a little of that into the fur, leave for 10 mins and brush out, it won't get rid of it entirely but will fade it, more than one treatment will be necessary. Someone on this board recently suggested half milk and half water but I haven't tried this one yet. Some Bedlington owners find that changing the dogs food to one without colouring makes a big difference. I have tried the stain removers for dogs (Diamond Eyes etc.) but haven't found them any good at all.

Stained or not I bet she's a sweetie :D

Hi Dill,
I will try the talc and see how I get on with that.
It isn't really a major problem because I don't intend showing her but it looks a bit unsightly round her back end.
As for her being a sweetie, she is a total joy to have, we love her to bits :-)
