Hi All,
Just thought id pop by and let you know how my Charlie is.
As some of you may know Charlie was diagnosed with Lymphoma back in May. The vet then told me his outlook was bleak to say the least (good choice of words eh? )
Since then, charlies been on chemo tablets plus steroids... and to be honest at the start i found it really hard going. I cried all the time and found it difficult to even look on the bright side, i felt there was no bright side. Afterall, how could my days without charlie be bright??
Anyway, charlies still holding on, he's happy and as i type he's full of beans! How long for i dont know but im enjoying the good days. I bet he is too! The bad days have seemed to have dwindled away to maybe one a week, if that.
I know this can change rapidly!
Charlies also been seeing a spiritual healer.... and before you all shout 'Donna u mad woman!!!'
Please dont it works for me and it certainly works for charlie!
I hope you and your loved ones are well.
Id also like to thank you all for your kind words when i couldnt see things getting any better.

Take care

Stay well both of you.

Hi Donna and Charlie

Glad to hear Charlie is still doing well......if you remember, my cavalier, Cherry, 13, was also diagnosed with Lymphoma, but of the blood cells, ie leukemia, last month.

Ongologist said she wasn't showing enough signs to warrant treatment at the moment, so we are just taking things as they come.

How old is Charlie?
Did he have any after effects from any of the tests they did on him?
Cherry went down with a nasty bout of colitis, and is still on salazopyrin tablets to sort it out. I can only think it must have been all the drugs used for the GA's...(she had 2 in a month.....against my better judgement, I might add.)

I don't blame you for using a healer or anything else you think will help...I've been doing searches for all sorts of stuff....(my vet turned his nose up.....but I don't care!!)
There seems to be a lot of stuff about Goldenseal, Flax Oil and some sort of essiac (sp?) tea.....all supposed to support the immune system and sold as "cancer support" supplements.
Any Champ Doggers tried any of this?......(I don't want to start going on a merry-go-round of false hopes and disappointments.....after all, my dog IS 13!)

Keep us posted on Charlie

Hiya all...

Jackie... (corso girl) Im certainly packing in the good times! Although he's loving the kisses... And the extra hugs! :)
Lucy... Thanks for your kind words :)
Sami and cherry... Im glad cherry's doing ok. Its so hard when you kow what they are facing. I know i went crazy looking for info etc... in the end thought my best bet is a spiritual healer. He's been happier, livelier and madder :)
Wow cherry's a good age but its no easier is it? On a good note, at least shes not ill enough to warrant medication for it. Thats a positive boost in itself. we send our love. :)
