Hi, I just got a new puppy. She is 6 weeks old and we got no info on feeding her. I have been giving her a little bit of milk/water mix and small helpings of pedigree healthy start for puppies. She has been doing good till today and now she is having hard stools. Can anyone please help. Thanks

6 weeks old is younger than puppies are usually allowed to go these days! So saying, my first puppy many years ago was only 5 weeks old. You don't say what breed it is and obviously a 6 week old Great Dane would be rather bigger than a 6 week old Yorkie!! Even so, a good quality puppy food should be ok. Personally, at that age I would prefer a tinned food rather than a dried complete food. I would also feed a milky feed of something like rice pudding or corn flakes or the like. Four feeds, two meat and two milky.

Regards, John

Thanks so much John. My puppy is a Pomeranian. She is very tiny. The food is soft food. Thanks so much for the help.
