Your best bet would be to start with a Breed Club. Is Humberside your area - maybe it's NE - sorry, geography isn't by strong point!! Humberside Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, Secretary Mrs Ruth Mochrie. Hillcrest, Hopton, Staffs. ST18 0AH, Tel : 01785 253717 www.cavaliers.co.uk. If you look under Cavaliers on the main page of this site, you'll see Breed Clubs. They will recommend reputable breeders.
Please make sure that both parents and grandparents are eye and heart tested, both hereditary problems in the breed, but responsible breeders are doing their best to reduce this. Luxating patellas (slipping kneecaps) are also a painful problem for Cavaliers, that can cost hundreds of pounds for operations to ease the pain. By doing your homework now and being patient, you can save your family much heartache and money in the future.
Good luck.
