Please help.

I have a ten month old Boxer (Bitch) and she just won't stop scratching. It's now to the point where she is drawing blood. She's fine when out for walks, or when we play in the garden but when she is not being occupied it starts. She has been like this for three or four weeks now.
I've had her to the vets who say it is either an allergic reaction to her food (She's ate the same brand of dog food for 5 month now - Butchers) or it's some form of dog hay-fever. The vet has asked me to change her food for the next six week (Turkey rice and kibble dry mix) and see how it goes but there's no change and she's not too keen on the food.
She has not yet had her first season. Could this have something to do with it?

I will apprieciate any help on this. Thanks in advance.

Mick. (and Cassy)

You don't say how long she has been on the different diet. If it is an allergy to her food it will take a good 6 weeks for the toxins to get out of her system.

Hi you have to look at your dogs feeding/ where you walk her/and what do you spray about the house? bath her front line her with spray not drops wash any bedding but only with the antibacterial shampoo you use on the dog then see how she is in a few days. Jackie
