The adoption place finally gave me her records even that was useless I had to call their vet and found out they only gave her a distemper shot and was dewormed. She was 8 wks at the time and is going on 9 wks old now...should she have further vaccinations at this point? Is the adoption agency at fault for not giving her further vaccinations?
We are contractually obligated to allow them to come to our house whenever they felt the need to check on the puppy. The woman we dealt with was rude and aggressive toward any questions we asked especially with regards to obtaining the puppy's record. She assured us she would be the one to come to our house. Obviously, this would be uncomfortable for us and is there anything we can do to prevent her from being that chosen representative?
This is just a ridiculous situation with a really awful adoption agency. Thank you for any help.

Hi, you are having a hard time with this woman - bad luck. I would ask your vets advice about how to proceed with the vaccinations. As far as worrying about the intended visits - I assume you will have warning of when she will arrive? If she wants to turn up anytime then I would write (and keep a copy) and say you are concerned that she may waste her time and come when you are not in, so please could you have 24 hours notice of her intended visit so you can be sure to be at home. Even if she refuses you will have that in writing. If I were in your postition I would get a health certificate/letter from the vet dated the day before she is due to come as proof she is in good health/well looked after. Have an intelligent, independant non family member there as a witness to what she says to you.
You could also have a 90 minute blank tape ready in a radio/cassette/stereo in the room where you will entertain her and switch it on to record when she rings the door bell and leave it on! If she is totally unreasonable or abusive during the visit or threatens to take the dog or attempts to do so, then you should tell her that you have taped the conversations - it would be ideal if you told her while the tape was still running as its possible illegal to tape someone like this without their knowledge. It may be worth getting a solicitor to check on that and have a look at the contract. I used a home made contract when I was about to sell my first litter of puppies and thought I had covered evrything but when I got my brief to check it out he said that i wouldn't have a leg to stand on - and I thought I had covered evrything - but because certain phrases not included , it was not binding - so yours may not be legal or binding anyway.
