I am thinking about getting a dog but is it the right pet for me.I live in a large house with a garden and have got a guinea pig and a rabbit.I am worried about leaving the dog on its own for maybe 2-3 hours while I am working.If you do think a dog would be suitable for me,which breed?

theres no reason why any breed of dog shouldn't be left for a few hours a day.We all have lives to lead and places to go where we can't take our pets so I couldn't see anyone objecting to you having a dog.
If you register(its free) and tell us more about your personal circumstances(children ? etc) and your preferences(small or large dog,long or short coat etc) maybe we can give you some suggestions.
