Looking for any information on Cleveling Countryman - Labrador
also Lucy of Hambrook of Cleveling (take it that Cleveling is a breed line)
also the drakeshead breed line
could anyone give me the web addresses of any of the above

thanks
carole

Drakeshead are one of the best known names in working Labs. It's the affix of John and Sandra Halstead. I don't believe theu have a web site (never found it anyway!) but there is info on their dogs all over the net. Do a search on Google and it will turn up hundreds of hits.

I know nothing about the Cleveling affix but that in its self means nothing. (There are thousands of wonderful dogs I know nothing about :) )

Best wishes, John

Hi JOhn

Field Trial Award Winner Cleveling Countryman - Lucy of Hambrook of Cleveling -
FTCH Pocklea Remus
FTCH East Dale Danny
Cossete of Grassdale

any of these you know about - these are in new pup (Jack's pedigree)

Max - has FTCH Drakehead Garth (sire)
FTCH Middlegate Dexter of Drakeshead (grand sire)
Dolycoed Kate of Drakeshead (grand dam)
plus penty other drakeshead in down the pedigree form.

Both Max and Jack (new pup) seem to have the same great grandparents, greatgreatgrandparents
is this common ????

thanks

Sorry but I don't have the rest on my database which really only covers my lines.

Hi John

Are you aware that you can put your database on-line if you wish (made easier if you have a recent version of BM) so people can view individual pedigrees?

It's the latest Breedmate Explorer Christine but my database is not really big enough. It only covers my own dogs and is only 2500 dogs long. Nothing at all compared with your database! In fact although Labs are my breed my Flatcoat database is bigger! (Explain that if you can)

Best wishes, John

If you put it online you may get people offering to send you theirs as well ?

You can have the three-quarter pedigree my old girl had.......

I'd love it Jan. I love studying pedigrees and it's amazing how often a seemingly unrelated dog ties in a couple or so generations down the road.

Best wishes, John

On it's way, John. Let me know if it gets mangled in cyberspace.....
:)

Thanks Jan. I'm feeling pretty rough tonight so I'll save the entering on my database until tomorrow. Holgate Willy is in Anna's pedigree!!

Best wishes, John

We must be related then John!
;)
PS - hope you feel better tomorrow.
