Can anybody give me any info on how beagles are with cats. If we get a puppy and it is brought up with cats will there be any problems?

a friend of mine has 6 beagles and 3 cats who all live together quite happily. it should be easier with a pup who will accept the cat from the beginning. the cat may sulk for a while but will put a young pup in its place from the start.
