Does anyone have any decendants of any Ormandy, Superlative or Durena bred dogs? If so what are the names of the dogs they are decended from? I am asking for my own personal interest as I have very strong links with these affixes and was just interested to know if there were any dogs still around with these in their pedigree.

Hi, I replied on the other board but I don't know if you will have seen it. I breed and show BTs under the Bullywood affix and all my dogs are descended from Ormandy and Superlative lines, through Jackadandy and one or two others. It would be hard to find a well bred BT today who isn't descended from those dogs. Have a look at my website and see the dogs at http://www.bullywood.homestead.com/

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I looked at your website and your dogs are very nice. It is good to see some nice chunky dogs. Ones I have seen recently haven't got much bone, especially one at my local ringcraft class that looks too feminine for my liking.

I suppose your right, it would be hard to find a Bullie that hasn't got at least one Ormandy dog in it's pedigree.

I would love to get back into Bull Terriers but can't have one while I still live with parents as we have already got 6 dogs, plus I think their temperaments have gone downhill slightly.

Hi,
The majority of bull terriers about today don't have the old fighting temperament, although their are one or two who can be a bit fiery. We have had Staffs as well as our bullies and have found the bullies to be very laid back in comparison. Both Staffs and bullies are very people friendly though.
You are correct in assuming that there are a lot of bullies around with lack of substance, something we are trying to breed against and are using the Ghabar lines which are known for being the heavyweights.
Thanks for the site visit, and good luck in future with all your dogs.
