Hi archie is still not really eating his naturediet. i have tried mixing in yummy treats, leaving for 15 mins and taking away etc etc.

he went to the vet yesterday who said there is nothing wrong with him and maybe to try changing to a different brand.

SO - can anyone recommend another suitable type of food. Archie is 5 months old, mini dachs. Is there anything similar to ND, i.e. complete wet food?

Ideally i would like to carry on with ND - do you think i should forget about changing and just perservere? He isn't suffering at all from not eating and is more playful than ever, just being a little s*d about eating!!!

It is unusual he is not interested in nature diet !

I would say however my mums two mini Dachies are very fussy eaters and she has ended up feeding them on all sorts of things to get them to eat which I must admit I feel she has made a rod for her own back but I suppose if it is the way she gets them to eat then so be it !! I call them a pair of pampered pooches ! They are both healthy even a bit on the podgy side but waht can you do ! I have tried to tell her !!
I really cannot suggest what else to try Archie on but do hope he starts to eat. I would personally try and stick with it as he has been under the weather and it may take a while for his appetite to really kick back in.

Hi Lucy, yes dachs do seem to be rather good at turning themselves into pampered pooches!

i am glad you said to perservere tho because last night he decided to eat again! woo hoo! not as much as he usually does but still eating nonetheless. he even got excited and was jumping around while i prepared his meal which he hasn't done for ages!

Isn't there a similar product called Nature's Way? I think it's made by Prize Choice. Maybe someone else can tell you a bit more about it. Or I think they might have a website. Perhaps Archie would prefer that?
