Hey!
My dog has taken to digging up the garden, he has got past the eating all the plants stage for which we are gratefull, but I put him out side for 5 mins while I vaccumed the house and I can now see the pipes that run under the ground as the hole is so big!
I know not to try grabbing him when he does this as he runs around and thinks its a game when you try but saying NO doesnt do any good either. Its like he wants you to catch him doing it because he finds it sooooo funny. Any tips please?
Thx
Zoe
Buy a huge bag of topsoil and get used to filling in the holes. Only thing that worked. If I caught them in the act and did the whole huge disappointed voice they would actually stop - or if I blasted them with water when I caught them. Eventually they seem to have grown out of it. I had weeks and weeks of holes last summer. This summer I've had 3 total.
I went through 2 bags of topsoil last year filling in holes (why is there never enough dirt to go back in??) this year I've gone through 1/3 bag.

Good idea!
I will start spraying him with water from now on, he loves water absolutely mad on it but he HATES being squirted with the hose so I will try that. Thx Wendy.
You're welcome. I wasn't sure about water for you because some dogs think water spraying is a game.
Hope it works:)
