I got my puppies test results back and her bun and phosphate are now both normal. She also had a urine test which revealed that she has ANOTHER bladder infection. She is now on antibiotics and if I don't see results in 4 days to 1 week, my vet will switch meds. Last time she had a bladder infection she was 3 months old and it took 3 different antibiotics and 3 urine tests before it went away.

My friend said maybe it is her food causing this. Is this possible?
What else could cause this? She does love to put anything in her mouth and she always wants to eat the woodchips in the garden (It's a community garden so unfortunately I cannot remove the woodchips). Could picking up woodchips & other junk cause this?

Of course, this is better than a bad kidney problem :) ... but still, I am wondering why so many bladder problems?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

m ;) Also - I just read an article about how bladder infection bacteria can attach itself to the bladder & become antibiotic-resistant (in humans). I guess this could also be possible in dogs??? It says to drink cranberry juice to help prevent the bacteria from attaching, so I was wondering if cranberry juice would be ok for a dog? How much for a 53 pound dog??? - TY
