I am having a problem with an 8 year old Skye Terrier which I have had for only a week now.
The problem is that she cries and barks through the night, which
seems to be because she does not like to be on her own. The problem did not start until the
4th night, but has been continuing since then.
The dog previously lived with another Skye Terrier and had been in
kennels with other dogs for the past 6 weeks so this is the first
time that she has been on her own at night.
At my house, she has company for most of every day, so
she never really spends any time on her own during the day.
We have tried a teddy bear and radio and these have helped a bit,
but it still continues. Have you any other ideas? She is perfect in
every other way!

It will take a little bit of time for her to settle down and get used to her new routine but she will eventually so you just need to persevere!!
Just make sure you never go down to her or she will learn that when she barks she gets attention.

Try a radio on quietly that might make her feel like she has company
and a t-shirt or something with your smell on it
