I have just bought a staffy of a friend who says he is kc regisered but he has no paper work, he does look after the dog - he is moving abroad and cant take the dog - he says he has phoned the kennel club but i want to see myself - he has gave details of his date of birth his mothers name - is that all i will need. Because this will be my first dog i want to make sure. I know the dog well and he is a very loving dog and doesnt seem to have an problems with anyone even kids and other animals.
Does anyone have the kennel club details to see if i could phone up. I will applogise no if i sound a bit thick but as this is my first dog i am not too sure about procedures all i know is how to give the dog a loving home and all the attention he deserves. if at the end of the day he is not registered of is not in fact a pedagree it wouldnt really matter i stilll want the dog it would just be nice to know for the future

You will need the mothers name and to ask if she had a litter
registered on (the date of birth you have been given)
