Topic Dog Boards / Health / Puppy keeps getting hickups
- By Bully [gb] Date 13.07.03 17:58 UTC
Hi there
My English Springer spaniel pup that we collected yesterday has had hickups 5 times since we got him home.
Is it normal for puppys to get hickups this frequently ?
He is 8 weeks old and eating / drinking fine.

Regards

Hi Bully

I'm sure it's been mentioned in the other post, pups do seem to get frequent hiccups, so it seems to be 'just a puppy thing', libby always seemed to have them when she was a small pup; but then she just outgrew them, I guess, now she NEVER hiccups at all?!?!

liberty :)

Ourgrowing them is the right term - I've noticed that pups who go through phases of hiccuping are actually also going through a growth spurt - time to check those collars!
