Well today is the first day of the school holidays, for my kids anyway. I've got 8 weeks of "can I have" and "can we go here" and "can we go there" to look forward to. How will I ever survive? ChampDogs thats how, I'll just ignore them, set the playstation up in one room and cartoon network in the other and stock the fridge and leave them to it while I sit here day after day. Oh well it was just a thought. Any other ideas would be most welcome:D

I know the feeling... I am planning on going to the pics with Mollie...but as for the other 5 weeks and 4 days....??!

You wicked mother you :D :D!

You've forgotten to lock them in with plenty of Sunny Delight, crisps & junk food :D

Now don't forget - the teachers need these holidays to recharge their batteries from our little darlings - but when can poor ole' mum recharge her batteries!

Personally, I used to enjoy the first three weeks of school hols - missing out the mad morning rush - but then it was necessary to be even more highly organised to stop the boredom setting in.

Now - I can see it coming in the future - when I retire in 2 years, it will be Granny will be called in to relive the boredom of the last few weeks of the hols .... talk about what goes round comes round!

Try & enjoy them though!!

Florence normally goes to a summer camp for a couple of weeks, she really enjoys them !!To her Dad's for another couple , to Grandmas or aunties and the we take time off and do day trips and stuff like that. This will be the first time I have not been working in the holidays but will be in hospital having this bump if it doesn't happen before as I am sort of in maybe labour bit we are not sure ! Spent last night being monitored and was and am still having contractions but nothing else ! So have been sent home to see what happens !!

Vindaloo for me later if I keep up like this !! :D

It's me and all has calmed down !!

I am due on the 10th Aug but I am booked in for a CS on the 1st but I am trying my best to get them to do it earlier as am soooooooooooooooooo peed off now :(

I can hardly walk even with crutches and look like an elephant and strangly enough feel like one !! :)

Oh well only 20 days to go if it doesn't all kick off !

Mine finish school a week today :)

This year will be my 23rd year of putting up with kids on school holidays in the Summer :) Having not been small child-less since Lucy went to school in 1979.
Also , Conor reaches double figures on Monday , his 10th Birthday , this will be the first time in 28 years that I don't have a child in single figures :D

Melody - Summer Holidays don't get any easier as the years roll by ;) :D

Remember those long ago days when we cried when they first went TO school and wondered what we would do with our days ??? Think that lasted all of one day actually :D

My kids got out on June 25 and they don't go back in till Sept. 2 I think. not sure. They can be real bratts at times, but they are pretty good. We take all the dogs for a walk everday rather then that they sit in front of the t.v or playing video games :( They need to get out more. just wish my car was working :( we need to fix it :(. We have to walk every where and my family and friends live on the other side of the city :(
Soon I'll be driving again :)

ttfn :)
