Hi you may have read previously about my bitch being on Cefalexin. Well last night she started scratching the newspapers and then a bit of panting. But this morning its stopped altogether and she's eaten as normal so I gave her another tablet the thing is shes still got a cough and only two tablets left, but if this is a sure sign of labour commencing then what do I do I dont want the pups to die? Do you think she should still have a few days left before labour her date is 9/7/03 please help

Sounds like she is getting close. Have you been tracking her temperature? If so, has she had her drop yet? My bitch started nesting and panting about 48 hours before the pups came. I don't remember, what is she on the cephalexin for? My vet does say that it is perfectly safe for pregnant and nursing bitches, so I don't think you will have a problem there.

my girl started nesting and panting early wednesday evening and then eventually delivered friday afternoon so i would say that youve got about a couple of days to go but then every bitch is different so i can't give you a definite answer sorry! :) good luck- let us know how you go on!
