I have always fed my dogs complete, however having read the information that came from Naturediet on the true ingredients of complete food, and because Taz doesn't really like whole food, I am gradually moving my boys towards a more natural type diet, with some yummy tripe and stuff.

They were getting 1/2 scoop of complete in the morning with tinned, and a "whole" scoop in the evening with tinned tripe.

Question - if I give them a pack of naturediet in the morning, how much meat should I give them in the evening, mixed with biscuit. 1/2lb, 1lb??

They all weigh around 30kg.

Hi Julia,
I was told many year ago that an adult dog requires about half an ounce of food (meat and cereal) to each pound of bodyweight daily. So if they have half their food in the morning - the Naturediet - then I'd give them a quarter-ounce of meat and biscuit per pound bodyweight in the evening.

By my calculations - and I'm not good at maths that makes

30Kg = 66lbs * .25 = 16.5 oz

So just over a 1lb of meat & biccy.

and you should see the scribbllings it took me to get to that!!!!
