Topic Dog Boards / General / Minibus or Van ?
- By carolyn Date 18.05.01 18:06 UTC
Hi

I am about to get a new run around for our rotties.
I need a decent size ,cant afford brand new,van or minibus
What do people advise, also if any one has either of the above for sale could you email me or leave a message for me so I can contact you.
This run around has to be good on fuel as i do a lot of showing,
very reliable,big enough for rotties.
Any other ideas on what i should look for please.

Carolyn

I have used a van for the last few years (needed one adapted with a lift for my daughter) but have found it very useful for the Dobermanns - I could get a cage, large wheelchair plus four dogs in the back - more if necessary plus any in the cage. The roof is high enough to move around inside and I have covered the windows in black film (from Halfords) which keeps it cooler and private. The sliding door is always left open when stationary during warm weather and I had an inner mesh door fitted.

I have been trying to sell it thinking that someone with a disabled passenger could make good use of it but will now keep it as it is comfortable (Toyota Hiace), fairly ecomonical - especially on insurance - and very useful for the dogs.
