Hello all -
This evening my daughter dropped her mini milk ice lolly thing onto the carpet whereupon Archie -4 month old labrador (crossed I think with a dustbin) ate the whole thing down in one gulp STICK AS WELL

He's asleep just now and doesn't seem any the worse for it so far but how on earth will he pass it out? Could it cause any damage en route? Should I be panicking? Actually I am panicking a bit.
Thanks
Cathryn

He'll probably be just fine. Keep an eye on him and his "produce" over the next few days. If he starts vomitting gets diaorrhea or is straining, or becomes obviously unwell, then get him to your vets. Most pups swallow things they shouldn't and the vast majority does follow nature's course - just watch in case this one doesn't.

Thanks for that Pam - I'll keep a close eye on things, but so far so good.
Best wishes

A couple of years ago I found a lolly stick in Honey's poo, I hadn't realised she had eaten it, but it must have been working it's way through for 2 or 3 days, as long as she keeps eating and drinking she should be fine

Just to let you both know - Archie passed the lolly stick, still intact, this afternoon. I don't know, you couldn't make it up could you?!
Anyway thanks again for your messages.

I bet people thought you were
really wierd, studying his poo like that! And when you whooped "Yeeesss!!!" they were convinced.... :D
