I have a beautiful indoor Jasmine plant, it has bloomed twice since I have had it, lovely white flowers with a light scent, my problem is that when I got it it had a frame with it to obviously climb around, I have added another frame to it and a bamboo triangle(wigwam) but it is having a mad growing spell and the leading shoot is about two feet long with new shoots & flowers, I think I need to prune it for cuttings but don't know where to cut, please any advise, this is a lovely plant and I don't want to ruin it.

Also how or where do I take cuttings from fuchsias

Hi, I can't help with the Jasmine cuttings, sorry. As for the fuchsias, I pinched the tops off of mine to encourage them to bush about a month ago. It seemed a waste to throw the tops away so I stuck them in soil, watered them and put them in a shady corner of the greenhouse. A month later I now have 19 fully rooted cuttings!!!!!!!!!!!EASY!!!!!!!

Sorry should have said pinch off just below second set of leaves, remove the second set(leaving just the top set) then put in soil.

Not too sure about this but I think with the Jasmine you have to pin a shoot down into the soil and wait until it forms roots. And it won't happen over night some of these plants can be rather stubborn !

Hi Sweep

As Margaret has suggested put a piece of the Jasmine under some soil and it should root ok. Alternatively and a method I have used is to take some cuttings and place them in a glass of water, it does take a time but roots will appear.

P.S. I have a huge outdoor Jasmine down the wall of my house !!! Fantastic smell when flowering.
