could anyone offer any advice please? i have a 7 month old boxer boy, since he was 15 weeks old he has been house trained, he has always been very good this way. over the last 4 nites he has been doing his business on the kitchen floor, i have been letting him out before i go to bed as i always do and also during the nite he will some times bark if he needs to go out, he is still doing this, but when i come down on a morning he has weed on the floor. is this something that pups of this age can sometimes go through? or could it be a medical matter? i have had dogs in the past none of them did this. any advice would be very welcome thanks.

I don't know about males, but bitches sometimes break housetraining before they are going to go into their first season. It's hormones going into action.

If he has not been wormed in a while I would worm him, especially if he is doing more than a wee. If he is drinking more than usual I would take him to the vet for a check up. Pick up his water at night. Crate him if you have a crate.

It could be he just had an accident that he could not help and this has triggered him into repeating it. Adolescents of any species are prone to forgetting and forget their prior training.

Hi,i have a boy and a girl,i've had the bitch for 3 weeks now and she's 15mths old and i don't know wheather its the new home thing and getting all emotional and stuff but she has been doing her business in the house since we got her.
The past couple of days she has'nt done a thing, i do the same,take them out just before everyone goes to bed and try and get her in a routine but on occassions she will do something and give me a nice warm one between the toes!
It'll get better but it's just a persistant thing, let me know how you get on.
