Hey everyone..I'm relatively new to this page...I've also just acquired my first boxer pup. I dont know if its breed specific, but she loves to attack the cat (and vice versa), enjoys her walks (althought fighting for the leash is her fav), likes to sleep on her tummy, is rather gassy..and snores like the dickens...I'm trying to train her now..and its beginning to be a challenge..she's so head strong...anyone else have this problem with their dogs?

any help would be great

Dear Venetia,
Try and find a local training club to take your puppy to,
what you put into her training now, you will reap the rewards as she grows up.
Ring the Kennel Club, they should be able to give you a list of accredited training
clubs.
Some Boxers can have gassy tummies, quite often it's what being fed to them that
causes the tummy to be windy! I feed a Nutro complete food and mine aren't gassy,
well only when they get hold of things they shouldn't or a treat doesn't agree with them then they are gassy ;)
Yes pups do snore, most grow out of snoring, however, you'll find that as they get older (Veteran)
they snore like troopers too :D
Yes most Boxers are head strong, but persistence and perserverance pays off in the end!! :)
Just be consistent in your training methods (thats where training clubs can help you) and
you'll see a great improvement.
If you want to chat Boxer there's a great UKBoxerdogs group on Yahoo, join up and talk to over 100 members
there's lots of people to share their vast experiences with you, some have owned the breed well 30-40 years!!
I read their messages on the web, as they are a chatty lot :D Hope to see you there someday :)
Kind Regards
Boxacrazy :)

I have a 7 month boxer called "Star".

She snores passes wind and every other thing that boxers do. She also wiggles about when she sees you after you have been out and also makes a lot of noise when playing.
She also likes to hold her lead on the way home from a walk. I have been really firm with her and not let her get away with anything and it is paying off now. She is anybodys for a cheese and onion crisp.

I could not be without her now.
