I have heard that whole wheat pasta is meant to be good for dogs, apparently the carbs in a dogs diet are meant to help with things like aggression and giving a dog this has the same effect as drugs like Seren-um and its cheaper.I would think it would help to put on weight but not to sure on this point, check it out with your vet they should be able to advise.

Pasta as part of a balanced diet is great. Don't salt the water when you cook it though.
Mine love it with some tuna and tomato paste:D

We give ours minced beef or chicken with pasta. Great for bulking them up too.

Yup we give Os pasta whenever we have it (once or twice a week). He absolutely loves it and it has helped us to get him to gain a bit of weight. He is a very lean GSD who has only just started bulking out, our trainer put us onto the pasta idea when we found out there wasn't a medical reason behind it.
He goes mad when he sees it in his bowl ;-)
I hadn't heard about the agression link though - that's interesting to hear.

I've never heard of that before - I may try it as my beagle pup has tear stains and have been trying to find ways of removing them.
