I am interested in owning a bullmastiff. I have found plenty of info to help except on the question of their friendliness with other breeds. I have a 4 yr old retriver, male. Will a bull mastiff get on well with him and should I be looking for a bitch or a dog. Any help much appreciated.

Hi i have Bullmastiffs and would say that if you already have a male then you would be better off with a female unless your male has been done, you would also need to keep your dog away from a bitch twice a year when she is on heat and if you only have the rooms in you house then this can be hard to do as males will break out of or into any place to get to the bitch so after all that it's up to you.Jackie
