does anybody know of a way to prevent or treat brown patches on lawns caused by bitches urine. i have tried teaching my dog to urinate on a gravelled area of my garden, when let out in a morning she goes there but for the rest of the day urinates all over the lawn. i have heard about a product called "green-um" but am unsure about the saftey of these tablets. has anybody else used these tablets and do they work.

Your best bet is not to cut the grass too short. I would never add anything to my dogs diet so that I could have a nicer diet, as after all you would be interfering with the natural acid balnce of the urine, and this could cause other problems.

we are having the same problem with my boys,all im going to do is keep re seeding at night and water it in well,also maybe i will try a fertiliser to try and give some nourishment back to the ground
