hello everyone i have a 15 month old shar pei and she is really fussy when it comes to meal times she will eat all human foods but non dog foods i have tried all diffrent types of dried foods and tinned.

she i now on bakers complete chicken and veg does anyone have any suggestions on how i can make her less picky and have more of an appetite ?.

Hi simple answer,

if you want her to eat human food feed her that, if you want her to eat dog food ONLY feed her that. generally it is "us" owners that makes them fussy..

How many times have you asked well know Sharpei breeders here in the UK and USA for the answer to Zena's picky eating habits !!!, and you know what everyones answer was to this problem, it is YOU that has caused Zena to be like this :-( and you admitted it to the lists that you are on. And they have given you all the help they can, etc.

Pam's reply is exactly what other people have already told you. Pick one and stick to it.

stephen, i have this in my dogs, they have very little appetite until around 15 months. casey used to hide when she heard me putting food in her dish, her sister phoebe was the same-at about 15months they developed an appetite, and now come asking for there meal when its time to have it, other reasons could be thyroid problems, i did have a pei with this years ago and she would go forever without food, until it was diagnosed and treat, might be worth popping her to the vets for a health check !! then if passed fit and healthy, she'll eat when shes hungry,
