Hi there,
My black lab bitch has recently bred with another lab(yellow). Both dogs are KC registerd and I'm just wondering how do I go about obtaining the necessary paperwork to ensure all the pups are too? I would be grateful if any could shed some light, many thanks

Hi,
Contact the Kennel Club and ask for a "Litter Registration Form".

The Owner of the Sire will complete and sign the relevant sections and you will do the same with your half, and send it off with your choice of names for the pups and the appropriate fee after the pups are born.

Symonette - not sure how much you know about the breeding you have started - but if this is your first litter, I would strongly advise you to go & buy THE BOOK OF THE BITCH now - you can get it through Amazon. Talk to your breeder (if you haven't already done so) and enlist her help.

Good luck (and I do hope that both the dog and the bitch have been hip and eye scored!)

Regards

Margot
