I am not a fan of crows but yesterday i recued one in our garden with a damaged wing. He has eaten a mouse we found and bread but I don't know what to do with him. He seems ok other than a damaged wing but when I put him in a dog run he was just able to fly high enough to get over the top and then back on the floor again. It s a nightmare trying to stop our dogs getting him and if I shove him into the field he will die anyway. any ideas and what can I feed him thats readily available

hi star,
put him in a box and pop him along to your local vet (they usually take them in and pass them on to wildlife centres) mine does,i have taken many birds to my vet over the years.

thanks Jane
Called RSPCA who said same as you so took him to my vet. the nusre said best not to go into the consulting room with him or i would get the bill!!
I left him there but have to say that the Vet saw me bring him in and looked less than impressed.
I suppose even if they put him to sleep it is better than starving to death. Unfortunately there are no bird sanctuaries near us.
(Cross post here but think you are a wonderful person for what you did with that poor bitch.:))
