I have a 12 week old west ie pup that I acquired when she was 8 weeks old.

Within days of getting her we notice that her vaginal area was discoloured, but [put this down to urine staining. However, two weeks later it was obviouse that the vulva was swollen and discharging. She has been to the vet, and put on a course of antibiotics. when she went back last week, he said that the infections was still there, but he wanted to see if her own immune system would combat the remaining infection rather than put her back on another course of medication.

Could anyone advise how she may have got this infection, and what can I do to help clear it away.

Apart from the discharge, she does not seem to be bothered by this

Have you spoke to the breeder??

May be worth trying some natural yogurt etc in her food.
