we recently had to put our family dog down (17 years of service!). So I think it may be time to find a new pup. I've always liked the alaskan type dogs and think that would be a good choice for us. were not loaded with money and dont even care about paperwork. We have 5 wooded acres and feel we could easily house a larger dog. So my ?s are what breed? Where to look? How do I select a pup? How much $ will I be needing? and just any other helpful hints.
