Hi all-- my bitch is at day 57 and she has been acting very tired and sleeping a lot since last night--she doesnt even get off the porch when i take her outside--has quite a bit of drainage as well-tits are HUGE-doesnt seem to want to be left alone--kind of whines as she breathes--is it getting close to time? She is also staying in her whelping place

Hi thats what my staff was like from 3 days before and the same with the breathing about a day before, Then she started panting and she went so quick from there! Good luck with the pups and hope all goes well for mum

hey..........my staffie is exactly the same, she is on her 59th day of pregnancy and she kept me up all night last night, heavy breathing (not panting), we took her out for a walk this morning but she just wanted to come back home. She follows me everywhere and can't seem to get comfortable atall. I'm sure she is going to have these pups soon, can't wait!
Last night she kept whining which usually means she wants to go out to the toilet but everytime i went downstairs to let her out she didn't want to go. I think she is a little anxious and just wants to know i'll be there? poor girl, i know how she feels. Not long now though i hope.

Hi there! I have a 59 day Shih Tzu. I am Soooooooooooooooo tired my poor baby she paced the floors all night long found my husbands closed. Removed her from there and put her back in her whelping box. Then she went under a table. Will I kept getting up tp put her in the whelping box. She finally settled down so I was so happy to go to sleep. Then I was woaken up, to her crying in her sleep. She did that for hours then she went back in her box to start crying again. Her temp is still only 99.8. Will see what happens by the weekend. Our dogs are do around the same time let me know how things go.

Bridie started panting and bearing down she had her first at 18.55 after she had her last one (supposedly) my hubby took her outside for the toilet whilst i changed the bedding as soon as she came back in a 6th was born!!! all done and dusted by 22.00. Mother and pups are all doing fine, i'm a bit nervous of her sitting on one of them though, hopefully the pig rails will stop that?
Could do with a baby monitor really to keep an ear on them, but then i'll probably be up and down the stairs all night with every whimper!

hey millie-- thanx a lot!! i was thinking the same thing--i figure she will deliver tonight or tomorrow night--she is sooooooooo big the poor thing--i feel for her--it wasnt all that long ago i was in the same boat!! i have a month old baby girl myself so i know how miserable she is!!!lol

I knew on the Friday she was going to have them early because she was not Dew till the Friday after but you could see such a change in her over the few days, she ended up having them 4 days early! she had 5 but she sat on 2 in the last 2 days! which was so gutting but good luck in yours

Yes it did hurt, but she is never left now not even for a minute, the next few weeks i will sleep next to them so hopefully that will help and be enough to save the them! but its funny now cos when i get up to move her from the way she is over them she knows cos she lays so hopefully she is getting the hang of what i am trying to get her to do,but please e-mail and let me know how you are getting on and when they come!
