Hello,
My 4 and an half year old bitch has a pus like discharge coming from her vulva. She was bred 3 times about 2 and an half weeks ago. Is this normal, I can't seem to find this in any of my breeding books or have had an experience with this, and I was wondering if you can help.
Thanks
Kat

Hi~ it's me again. I wanted to add what other signs she showing: her nipples are harder, larger, and a little pinker than normal. Her vulva is still swollen after her heat ender. That's about it for now, because she's not very far along if she is pregant. We did A.I. because the male(also own) has such bad aim, hehe. She has been bred before, had a scan that showed 3 pups, but the date came and only one puppy who was still born:(
In about a week or two were going to get scan. Any advice helps:)
Thanks
Kat

Hi Kat

My girl had this two weeks after mating and the vet put her on antibiotics as she had a slight infection she is now fine with a belly full of puppies. I wouldnt leave it if i were you as soon the pups will attach and any infection could harm the babies.

We had a bitch bred, after a few days she started to discharge. Green like snot, thick not smelly. At 4 weeks she had scan, she had absorbed all pups the green stuff was the sign. No infection. no antibiotics needed. No nothing. Hope this helps!!

The is gone, but we are going to the vet tomorrow just in case. My bitch's breeder said this was normal for some bitch's. Roxy's(my bitch) mother had this when she had Roxy and her to sisters. I hope everything is ok, and thanks.
