Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Where to buy Nature Diet.
- By mitch [gb] Date 03.06.03 21:56 UTC
Hi everyone.

Pets at Home seems to be the only place in Darlington that I can buy Nature Diet, and quite often they have sold out of the puppy packs. Does anyone know any where else I can get it. Can I order it on the internet and have it delivered. I have been on their web page, but I can't seem to find anyway of ordering it. Hope some one can help as I don't want to change his food as he loves it and he's doing well on it.

Michelle

Go back onto the site and e-mail the order, giving type , quantity and delivery address. I got them to ring me back and then gave my payment details over the phone. It was with me in three days from e-mailing !

If you have any problems then ring them and I am sure they will be able to sort you out ! It is about 10p per carton cheaper so well worth doing it although you will have to order in bulk to get the discounted rate but well worth it !

Hope that helps

Hehe Michelle - on Sunday I went to Pets at Home and bought up their entire stock of NatureDiet Puppy!!

You can order NatureDiet by the case directly from Pets at Home - I just have. You can also order it from the company directly - but if you only want one case at a time it works out about £3 cheaper to get it from Pets at Home.

Hi Jo you got in just before me, I went on Monday morning, I ended up buying one of the others to tie me over. They said they were getting a delivery later that day, but it wouldn't be on the shelf till the next day but to phone first to make sure. I did that but they still didn't have any, they said they will phone me when they get it in, which they haven't yet and it's Thursday tommorow. So when you went in and cleared the shelf (greedy) did you order another case there and then, if so did you pay for it then, or do you pay for it when you collect it, and when did they say it would be in. How many packs are in a case, and is it any cheaper ordering it like that than just getting that same amount off the shelf. Or is it the same price.

Thanks all for your replies.

Hi Michelle

There's 18 to a case, and it's the same price as buying singles - no discount. I have to say though the staff are a bit clueless - I pointed out to them that there was only about 7 tins of the puppy food on the shelf, which wasn't going to tempt me to start feeding my dog on it as I need to guarantee it will always be available. Anyway, I asked them to order a case in - I didn't have to pay, will do so when I pick it up. I think it's in already but I haven't picked it up yet.

I'd assumed that NatureDiet would be cheaper to order directly from the company - but not so, unles you order more than three cases.

Hi, I have noticed that Focus stock it.

I was so pleased to be informed of Naturediet, my 11 month old malamute bitch was eating less and less until I bought this from Focus - she almost ate it before I had the packet opened - I am going to mix it with the Burns that I was using before. I read that too on another board and it seems like the best idea, Thanks folks

Hi, I thought Focus was a D.I.Y shop, Do they sell dog food.

I have just started to change my 9 week old Bordeaux puppy over to nature diet from chicken mince mixed with her complete, can you tell me did it give your pup wind problems to start with and if it did has it now cleared up.

It stopped Mins wind completely ! :D It is probably because yours is a baby and has a delicate tummy . Did you do it very gradually ?

Have just found a site called http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk who offer cases at c. £8.99 and who said that carriage on 5 cases would be £5.50.

Which brings it back to the same cost as the local place & I don't have to carry it. Seems reasonable to me.

Having read all the stuff on the Naturediet site, I might have to change Chester over and see if it helps his itchies & lumpies

Hi
I didn't think any of the supermarkets stock Nature Diet.(Nature Diet give a list of stockists on their site, and it's only Pets@ Home, Focus stores or independant pet shops.) If Tesco are selling it, good!!
I get mine in bulk from the manufacturer. They are really helpful, and it only takes a couple of days for delivery.

I get 12 cases of 18 cartons, different varieties, and it works out at just under 46 pence a carton. The price per carton includes delivery.
My cavaliers do really well on it! Coats and teeth are shining, (well, except The Queen Mum, Cherry, whose teeth leave a lot to be desired at 13!!!!)
