Here is a link to the special report on vaccines/boosters etc, from the AAHA.

Hi Christine,
This site makes very interesting reading :D
My vet won't like it when I start quoting chapter and verse :)
Maybe it should be called the HAHA report, since despite recommendations to the contrary most vets in Britain still advocate yearly vaccinations for dogs. I have always questioned this since neither myself or my children are vaccinated on a yearly basis and our vet has never been able to give details of studies recommending yearly vaccination, we have always been told that this was the manufacturers instructions. Does anyone know whether this subject is being discussed in Britain?

Regards
Dill

Hi Dill, LOL@ HAHA :)
As far as I know there was a report a little while back by the vet board, but it recommended staying with the yearly boosters for the time being! Richard Allport, h/pathic vet from the magazine Dogs Today, published a study done in New Zealand that also confirmed yearly boosters are unecessary. Thats all the discussion I know of in the UK just now. Maybe someone else knows some more on it? Your vet can`t give you any details of studies regarding boosters because there aren`t any.
You can always send your vet the link for it & also anyone else you know who has dog`s/cat`s. That way this report will get out a lot quicker :)
