My bitch is now 55 days and I've been taking her temp this is her second litter first was by C-section. She has always been at 102 & 101.5 Friday she went to 99.9 Saturday in the morning she was at 100.5 then last night went to 101. I took her temp this morning and she was still about 101 now it's 7:45p.m. and her temp is 100 could someone help me and give me some advise. She ate her dinner tonight and I need to tell you she ate it as if she was starving. I'm confused!

Hi, I can't tell you to much. Except that 99.9 is not really all that low yet. Remember that in the last week thier temp drops anyway. If you have the book of the bitch it will tell you to start with a lower temp for measuring during the last week as thier temp will be lower. My dog went from 100 to 99.9 to 99.1 over a 2 day period and yet didn't whelp until 3 days later when she finally fell below 99 to 98.2. I think 99 or higher still may just be a sign that shes in her last week.
