I breed my female walker coonhound to a nice well known reproducer and they tied twice and the vet at 45 days in said there was no pups but said she recommend to do a blood test. I am new at this also i breed her on about the 13 and 14th day she had stopped bleeding and a couple of days after she was breed she started bleeding again just a couple of drops at a time. Her teats are larger she is sagging a little at the back and i felt nots between the back of her going up toward her rib cage on the bottom . My question is what should i do give up and wait till next time or do a blood test? thanks alot

Doing a blood test (to confirm whether pregnant or not???) won't make her pregnant if she's not so I would save your money and buy her something nice with it.

If the vet has missed a pup with an x-ray (not that I would want to x-ray a bitch just to find out whether she is pregnant unless something is going very wrong) and she is pregnant perhaps he should have some re-training.

If he has missed some then you should be able to see her stomach moving a few days before she is due to whelp
