could someone tell me what the chances are of having a infertile dog we have used him at stud to the same bitch 3 times but each time her owner says there is no pups we have now used him on our bitch but it seems she is having a phantom pregnancy he has only ever tied with one of these matings he definately knows when the time is right as he just walks away if it is the wrong time i have asked my vet if he will do a sperm test he just says no it isnt an health issue and your dog looks in perfect health to me as we live out of town and have always used this vet for all of our dogs we really do not want to change our vet just for this matter any advice will be most appreciated by the way the dog is a bullmastiff i have been breeding these for the past 5 years but only have this one dog the rest of mine are bitches

I would get a sperm count done just to put my mind at rest. I'm not sure why your vet is so reluctant. Didn't know you could tell fertility just from looking at him!
