Hi, my bitch is now five weeks pregnant with her first litter. Iv been reading up on the labour and everything but i'm still quite confused about what to do when she goes into labour in 4 weeks time. Has any one got any tips? also does anyone know what stage of development the pupies will be at 5 weeks. Thanks!

I see the Book of the Bitch recommended on here often, for my first litter my 'bible' was the Welping Video by the Guide Dogs for the Blind its produced by DBI Communication Tel:01926497695, I found it very useful to actually see the events that you are led to expect by a book. There video on the first 6 weeks of rearing is very good too. - cut and paste from a recent posting.

I actually think its a shame when people email privately - other folk may benefit from the advise too :)

Thanks for your reply i'm going to definately try and get those videos. it's all so new to me! it's going to be an exciting time for sure but there's still so much i don't know!
