I've been looking for a vest or harness for my Newfoundland that can be used to lift her out of the water into the boat. She is about 140lbs and the deck of the boat is about 4 feet off of the water. I want to lift her without it hurting. All of the vests I've seen online look great for assisting the pooch to swim but don't look adequate for lifting her out. Anybody have any experience with the harnesses used by the rescue dogs? I seem to remember a commercial on TV where a Newf gets lowered into the water via helecopter. That type of hrness is what I'm looking for. Any help in finding one would be greatly appreciated.
