I have just bought a 6week old rottweiler puppy, the breeder said he is old enough to leave his mum and he loves his eukanuban mushy food n his baby milk. Does anyone else have any advice for me of how i should care for him for the first few weeks, encase there is anything i have missed out or forgotten.

no responsible breeder would let a puppy go at 6 weeks, is your puppy kc registered, ???? have you other dogs so hes able to carry on being socialised, which he should of been up until 7-8 weeks with his littermates at his breeders home, hope it all goes ok, get him out and about and mixed as soon as his vaccs are completed,

The puppy really should not have left the breeder or its siblings until 8 weeks of age. Was the pup socialized in the house ands with children before you purchased? Were you given a diet sheet? What are you doing with Eukanuba 'mushy food?' and what is 'baby milk?' Did the breeder offer you no help for after care or advice? I wonder whether it was the breeders own pup? Did you see the pup with Mum and prior to purchase? Can I suggest you purchase The Perfect Puppy by Beverley Cuddy an excellent book on advise for early socialization and much much more almost week by week guide as your puppy develops.
You must get out with you puppy now IN YOUR ARMS, DO NOT PLACE PUPPY ON THE GROUND WHERE OTHER DOGS MAY HAVE BEEN UNTIL VACCINATED but there is no need to wait until the pup has had all the jabs before taking it outin your arms, it will be too late if you wait until pup has all jabs. Take the puppy with you for very short visits initially where people able to talk and touch the puppy gently, go in the car or on the bus, keep pup warm but do not over heat. Get puppy quickly used to sounds and noisies such as traffic and children go out side a school playground but please do not let the children maul the pup.
If you have children do not let them tire the puppy out it will need peace quite and sleep as well as play. Regular feeding regime and take the pup out (go with pup every time) for regular loo visits in the garden praise the pup for going with a word that the pup can associate with going to the toilet. Take the out last thing at night late and expect to get up in the night initially, go out with pup and put pup straight back to bed, leave radio on softly if whimpering and soft light somewhere and cuddly toy.
Hope all goes well with pup.
