what are the advantages of studding your dog and or having them nudered?
I have a border collie with papers he is about eight months old and I am not sure
what I should do at this junction. can anybody give me some advice.

Owning a dog which has been used at stud (even once) can be very different to owning the same dog that has never been used. So you must be absolutely certain you're doing the right thing, and for the right reasons.

Is he winning well at shows? Is he a good worker?

The choice is not between using your dog at stud and having him castrated, you can just leave him as he is. A nice intact celibate dog.
